It is all about the little things right now and celebrating Earth 🌍 Day is one them! We decided to have fun and paint our toast! Our Earth Day Toast came together with ingredients and tools we had around the house.  We searched for a blue food to use as the background but did not have any luck.  We had frozen blueberries but they looked purple! So we decided food dye was easiest.  I like to use natural food dyes but any will work!
We mashed up an avocado for the earth, but I think you could also get creative with cucumbers if you do not have avocados. Â For whole wheat toast we put some cream cheese on top, but if you have white toast or an English muffin you do not need cream cheese. Â This is meant to inspire and have fun being creative! Â My guidelines are below.
Earth Day Toast Option #1:
- 1 piece of bread
- Cream Cheese
- Blue Food Dye (I prefer a natural I have a set from whole food but any will do!)
- Mashed Avocado (you could also cut up a cucumber if you don’t have avocado)
- Clean paint brush
- Circle cookie cutter
Earth Day Toast Option #2
- 1 English MuffinÂ
- Blue Food Dye (I prefer a natural I have a set from whole food but any will do!)
- Cream Cheese Optional it is white enough to paint onÂ
- Mashed Avocado (you could also cut up a cucumber if you don’t have avocado)
- Clean paint brush
If you don’t have any dye and still want to have fun painting toast, mix frozen blueberries with a little hot water and you have a purple water color! Â
Last year we had making green smoothies in honor of earth day – Do you do anything to celebrate Earth Day?
