Who loves snacks??? We do! Does anyone else feel like their kids are always asking them for a snack?? When possible, the best snacks include a balance of complex carbs, fruits and / or protein. This will help you or your child feel more satisfied. My children also love when I give them a variety, but I don’t always have time.
Sooo… I thought it would be fun to create 3 bulk 3 Ingredient Snack Mixes that are a combination of fun and nutritious to keep everyone happy and their little bellies satisfied. And lets be honest I love grabbing a handful of these on the run in the afternoon too! I like to make a big container of one of the mixes to take on the go, to school or have at home.
I make some small baggies (we have these) for the snack cabinet for easy grab and go or they can access the container and scoop in a bowl and help themselves when we are home.
Snack Mixes:
Snack Mix 1:
- Skinny pop
- Pretzels
- Freeze Dried Strawberries or Blueberries
Snack Mix 2:
- Raisins
- Sunflower seeds or Pumpkin Seeds
- Cherrios
Snack Mix 3:
- Dried Chickpeas
- Dried Cranberries
- Goldfish, Annie’s bunnies etc….
