I am super excited to bring you this adaptation to the viral Tik Tok baked blended oats recipe. The original recipe makes a single serving, but since many of you have families I decided to share this as a recipe that will make enough for your multiple people. My kids don’t love the texture of regular oatmeal so this is great way to get them to eat nutritious oats and a fun addition to the breakfast and snack rotation. We have enjoyed them in the am or I have made them as muffin snacks for the kids post school/before practice. With the addition of the egg and nut butter they are protein packed balanced fuel!
Blended Oats are also super easy to put together and come together with as little as 5 ingredients. All you need are bananas, oats, baking powder, maple syrup or honey and eggs. Although, making different flavors is really fun! Here are some of the combinations we tried. Chocolate Chip and peanut butter and jelly were the favorites.
All you have to do is blend all of the main ingredients, fold in your optional flavors and then bake or microwave! I have made these into muffins and bars. The bars are great as snacks on the go.
The microwave blended oats version is great for busy mornings and the kids enjoyed having their own mugs!
When you make these I would love to hear what your favorite combination is!
