These super easy Chicken Pesto Flatbreads are the perfect speedy weeknight meal! I love them because they come together fast with minimal effort and minimal ingredients! My children love these because they are a great personal size. They are also a great meal for kids to help out with in the kitchen.

The naan yields for a soft and pillowy crust!  They come together with 4 ingredients (unless you are making your pesto).

How to Make Chicken Pesto Flatbreads

First mix 1/3 cup of the pesto with the shredded chicken and divide the remaining pesto among the naan.

Next, divide the chicken between the Naan and spread it out.

Lastly, sprinkle on the cheese and bake – it is that easy!

Easy Chicken Pesto Naan Flatbread Suggestions

  • I make my own shredded chicken and then portion out and freeze for a variety of recipes, but you can buy shredded chicken, use leftovers or use pre-made grilled chicken.
  • I usually make my own pesto, but you can buy it to save time and effort.
  • If you make your own pesto it can be made a few days in advance and even frozen.
  • I buy naan at Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and Costco, but most grocery stores carry it.
  • For a gluten free version you could use a pre-made gluten free crust from your local grocery store or gluten free pitas or tortillas (will have a different texture).

Besides for the ease I really like them because they are a fun twist on a pizza night. 6 Large Naan’s or about 8 regular naan are perfect for my family with a big salad!

Naan Pizza

Ingredients:

  1. 6 Large Naan (3oz each)
  2. 2 cups shredded chicken
  3. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  4. 1 cup pesto (choose your favorite – I love to make my own)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Place your Naan’s on baking sheet
  3. Mix 1/3 cup of the pesto with the shredded chicken
  4. Spread 1-2 tbsp (I used 1 1/2) of pesto on each Naan
  5. Portion the chicken on each Naan (if use 6 large its about 1/3 cup)
  6. Sprinkle cheese evenly among Naan (if using 6 extra large its about 1/3 cup)
  7. Bake for 6-8 minutes
  8. Let cool 2 minutes and enjoy!
