Nothing beats a burger on a hot summer day! These classic cheeseburger sliders comes together with 5 ingredients, cooks up really fast and is sure hit with kids and adults. We love to have fun with a topping bar for everyone to get creative and add their own personal twist and preferences. I made ours in 12 slider (mini) size burgers, but feel free to make them any size you want! And if you don’t have a grill or you were planning on making these and its raining these can also be made in a skillet!
Classic Cheeseburger Sliders Topping Bar Ideas:
- 6 -12 buns or mini slider buns or rolls (I love the ones from Trader Joes)
- 12 pieces of American, Cheddar, Muenster….

- Lettuce
- Smash Avocado liked by the boys in our family
- Bacon or Turkey Bacon
- Caramelized Onions
- Ketchup

On the Grill:
- Preheat grill to medium to high heat (about 500)
- Place burgers on preheated grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side and then flip and add cheese and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees (if making larger burgers it may be about 4-5 minutes per side).
- Place in buns and serve with your favorite toppings
In the Skillet:
- Heat a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add patties; cook 3 minutes or until seared. Turn patties over; top each with 1 piece of cheese. Cover and cook 2 additional minutes or until beef is done (reaches an internal temperature of 165) and cheese melts.
- Place in buns and serve with your favorite toppings
